AutoJournal is an iOS app that automatically generates weekly journal entries from your photo library. Photos are analyzed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Only anonymized metadata (scene labels, neighborhood-level location names, face counts, time-of-day) is sent to an AI service to generate narrative text. An active subscription is required for full functionality beyond the free tier (4 entries). You agree not to misuse the app or attempt to circumvent its features.
No login or account creation is required. All journal entries and photo data remain stored locally on your device via SwiftData.
AutoJournal offers 4 free journal entries. A $9/month subscription unlocks unlimited entries. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Refunds are handled per Apple's refund policy.
AutoJournal uses a Cloudflare Worker proxy to communicate with Anthropic's Claude API for narrative generation. No photos, GPS coordinates, filenames, or personal identifiers are sent. Only anonymized metadata leaves the device. PostHog is used for anonymous analytics.

AutoJournal is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors' use of the app.
AutoJournal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated journal entries are for personal reflection only and are not a substitute for professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
